A few Christmas thank yous

Monday 4th January 2021
Chris

I wanted to update the website before Christmas. While there are no changes to services we are providing and there is no real news to convey, on a personal level I need to say few thank yous.

2020 has been a difficult year for many of you and for my staff, it has also been a difficult time for me following my accident and my continuing incapacity as far as work is concerned. The COVID crisis has also hit dental practices hard, especially private practices as the NHS has paid the full contract value for very little clinical work.
It has left my little practice peculiarly placed. Within the profession we have been an anachronism, a small family dentist, a private practice that values service and personal care above profit. We don't do anything special but everything we have done whilst I was working, and I know that this has carried on with Manny, has been purely focussed on the best interests of the patients and their families. I think that this has shown through the stages of the pandemic. NHS practices have largely closed their doors and those private practices that service patients wants rather than needs have seen their turnover and patient base dwindle alarmingly.

In Charlotte and Julie and Manny I feel I have had a team that has coped with this unbelievably well. Possibly better than we could have if I had been there myself.

So I thank all our lovely patients at The Croft, I genuinely miss you all. Thank you for sticking with us through this crisis and thank you for realising, I think, that we are a little different. And thank you to my amazing staff and Manny - I am so proud to own this little practice and be the figurehead of such an amazing team. Looking on from home I I think the team have provided an outstanding level of care in very, very difficult times.

Thank you again to every patient who has stuck with us and kept us viable. And thank you to Manny, Charlotte and Julie, and Alex and Kate for making us a practice worth sticking with.

I hope you all have the merriest Christmas possible. And I hope that 2021 is a wonderful year for all of you.

Love and best wishes,
Chris
